GoodPup is an innovative virtual dog training platform that connects owners with certified positive reinforcement (R+) trainers via video chat. With over 80,000 dogs and their guardians trained, we are committed to helping pet owners build strong, positive relationships with their dogs.
To help more people experience the love of dogs, we created the GoodPup Trainer Certification Program to make dog training accessible to everyone—not just those looking to work with GoodPup!
The program is open to anyone passionate about training dogs. Our GoodPup Virtual Trainer Certification Program was developed to provide virtual dog trainers with a deep practical understanding of positive reinforcement training. This program is specifically designed for trainers who offer services on the GoodPup virtual platform.
The GoodPup Trainer Certification Program covers the same R+ training material, but with a focus on in-person dog training. Graduates will receive a certification and gain the skills needed to start their own in-person dog training businesses.
Graduates from both programs will be equipped to:
- Apply force-free management strategies that promote structure and routine.
- Encourage desirable behavior through reward-based training techniques.
- Develop training plans that align with LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) principles and the Humane Hierarchy.
- Provide animals with behavior alternatives that suit their lifestyles.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and pursue continued education in the field.
